This excursion will show you the secret coast
(the less well-known but no less evocative)
made up of enchanted villas,
medieval watchtowers, moorish castles,
natural arches, bridges of rock etc.
From Amalfi we will sail onto & past the small
picturesque town of Atrani in the Castiglione area.
Then onto la Cascata (cascade) di Marmorata
where a swim is a must.
On to Minori, Maiori & la Torre Normanna
followed by the wildest stretch of the coast
with its gorges, hidden beaches, grottoes including
la Grotta Sulfurea, Pandora and the
amazing green waters of Cala Bellavaia.
In the tripudio di gole, pinnacles,
fantastic rock profiles follow one after the other:
Capo d'Orso with its bizarre bear head
was once a heaven-sent beacon.
To the east of Capo d'Orso is Erchie with
its sandy seashore, followed by Torre Angioina.
Behind Torre Angioina lies yet another
small beach with crystal waters and a perfectly still air -
the destination for those in search of nature and solitude. |
